At this accommodation it is possible to spend the night in an authentic Pullman carriage that has been restored and has a modern interior. If the weather is good, one option is to start the day with a good breakfast on the platform. Then you can visit the town of Petworth or explore Amberley Castle, a medieval West Sussex castle built 900 years ago.

KRUGER SHALATI, THE TRAIN ON THE BRIDGE:

Located in South Africa's Kruger National Park is an imposing train that was transformed into a unique accommodation, permanently parked on the historic Selati Bridge, over the Sabie River. The rooms are in the carriages and have large windows to observe the park's crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and elephants, which you can also admire from the pool. When it was in operation, the train stopped overnight at this very spot, so the accommodation offers its guests the same experience that the train did to its passengers a century ago.

THE CRAWFORD HOTEL IN THE UNITED STATES:

The Crawford Hotel at Union Station is downtown Denver, just steps from the Ball Arena and right above the famous Denver Union Station. The station opened in 1881 and since then, has been renovated and became the heart of downtown Denver. You enter the hotel through the busy station and can stay overnight. It spent several years on a farm, but now it is a cozy accommodation. It is possible to relax in the outdoor bathtub, contemplating the mountains and the blue New Zealand sky.

AMSTELVEEN STATION, NETHERLANDS:

This bed and breakfast is housed in what used to be a train station dating back to 1915. It is located in the city of Amstelveen, a short distance from the center of Amsterdam. The rustic, cozy and comfortable rooms preserve the original spirit. It is located opposite the old train tracks and the gift shop is located in what was once the station ticket office. The emblematic building has three floors and a red brick facade.
